Fees & Policies
Fee
My fee range is $280 to $300 per 50 to 60 minute session depending on day/time and session frequency. We can discuss fees in the initial phone contact.
Reduced Fee
I understand that individual circumstances may impact your ability to pay a full fee and I offer reduced fee services, dependent on financial need. Please let me know if you need a reduced fee. If I cannot accommodate your financial situation, I will be happy to help you with appropriate referrals.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time. I accept cash, check, and Venmo. If there are extenuating financial circumstances now or at any time in the future, please feel free to discuss them with me.
Cancellations
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and you have not notified me at least 48 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. However, if we are able to re-schedule within one week of your previously scheduled session you will not be charged.
Confidentiality Policy
All of our communication is confidential. The only exceptions to this are where I am required by law to break confidentiality: when someone is attempting suicide, when someone is planning to or harming others (child, elder and dependent adult abuse), or using, creating, soliciting, or downloading child pornography.
Insurance
I am in-network with Medicare. choose to seek insurance reimbursement, I will provide you with a monthly statement. For non-Medicare insurance, I can provide a superbill statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will need to check with your company to see if they reimburse for out of network providers and how much they reimburse.
Please check your coverage by asking your insurance provider the following questions:
Does my plan cover psychotherapy?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
Is prior approval or a referral required?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
What information is necessary for reimbursement (i.e diagnosis code, provider tax ID, etc.)?
Also, psychotherapy may be covered by funding one of several types of Health Spending Accounts, such as a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Medical Savings Account (MSA), or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).
